ZELLX® T7 RNA Polymerase is a highly specific, DNA-dependent RNA polymerase produced from a recombinant E. coli expression system and optimized for high-yield in vitro RNA transcription from DNA templates containing a T7 promoter. The use of a recombinant, microbial production platform ensures high purity, consistent quality, and complete absence of animal-derived components.
The enzyme exhibits strict T7 promoter specificity, enabling precise initiation of transcription and minimizing nonspecific RNA synthesis. ZELLX® T7 RNA Polymerase efficiently catalyzes RNA synthesis in the 5′→3′ direction, producing high-quality RNA suitable for demanding downstream applications.
Manufactured under extensive quality control, ZELLX® T7 RNA Polymerase is confirmed to be ≥95% pure by SDS-PAGE and rigorously tested for promoter specificity, endonuclease and exonuclease activity, and absence of nonspecific DNase and RNase contamination. The enzyme is further characterized by minimal double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) formation, supporting applications where RNA purity and integrity are critical.
ZELLX® T7 RNA Polymerase is supplied at a high concentration of 50 U/µL, enabling scalable transcription reactions from small analytical assays to large-scale RNA production.
