Description
6-Benzylaminopurine, benzyl adenine (6-BAP) is a synthetic cytokinin (plant-specific chemical messenger) and plant growth regulator, which along with auxins, induces plant growth and development responses. It is also involved in stress responses, delay of senescence, photosynthesis, nutrient assimilation, leaf expansion, and chloroplast formation and mobilization. 6-BAP hampers respiratory kinase in plants and improves post-harvest life of green vegetables.
