Description
DNA ladders also known as DNA molecular weight (mw) standard controls are commonly used in molecular biology for determination of unknown nucleic acid (DNA) length in base pair (bp) or the molecular weight of unknown nucleic acid. DNA ladder usually prepared either through amplification by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), or via digestion of plasmid DNA by restriction endonuclease enzymes. It is also used to analyze target DNA fragments quantitatively.
